J.L. Lewis III graduated from the University of Houston where his success in track and field led to 2 NCAA national championship titles. He is a quiet soul from the back woods of Willis, TX. Due to his rural upbringing most of his poetry is influenced by nature. Through his poetry and prose he strives to create a sense of relation, motivation and meditation within his audience.
