About the Poets:
Brandon Elliott is a Los Angeles poet who was deeply influenced by Tupac and Eminem. His journey with writing started at age 8, and he wrote his first poem at age 12. He uses poetry to heal and express his innermost thoughts and feelings, often drawing attention to topics he feels that can help others. His whole focus is an attempt at understanding the society, world and universe he lives in. Black Out The Sun is a collection of poetry written during one of the most trying times in his life. Writing gave him a means of expression that speaking could not.
